Symposia Upgraded!

As our regular readers will have noticed, Symposia has had an upgrade. Apart from a slick, sophisticated new front end we have also made significant changes to the way Author accounts are handled. Articles can now be rated and commented on by the public, and the top rated authors and most viewed articles can be seen from the links to the right. Watch this space for more updates.

FAQ

Um, I'm a Symposia author - but I cannot log in to this new site.

No problem. You just need to click on 'sign up as a new author' in the top right of the menu on the right. Once you have done this, you can submit articles as before. If you email us (symposia@ilovephilosophy.com) we can even transfer your old articles to your new account.

Hey! I submitted an Article to the old Symposia Website and now it is not listed as one of my articles under my author account here - why?

When we migrated the database of the old site to this new one we had to transfer the existing articles all under one account using "Pen Names". This means that your article is written under your name, but you currently cannot control, edit or view it as part of your member profile. To change this, all you need to do is write to symposia@ilovephilosophy.com with the name of the article and the name of your author account (i.e. the username email). We will then transfer that article to your author account.

I'm an Author - I submitted an article this week but it isn't appearing anywhere on the site.

Sorry about that. If your article does not appear anywhere on the site, you will need to resubmit it. This is a one-off problem caused by the interim period of time during which we migrated articles from the old site to the new one. If at all confused, please contact us on symposia@ilovephilosophy.com.
