RADIOACTIVE WASTE

I am the sun shining
on a moonless earth
whose nights are truly dark

and lonesomelonely indeed
lit only by the pointlessly dead light
of unimaginably distant

nearest neighboring stars
and not by the lunar
reflection of my light
