ENVELOPE PLEASE

ours is a time
made for poetry spat
more than inked into being
w/ words as ammunition
more than communication
post-adolescent wanna-be militants
who deliver hyper-political
gender-aware acidic epics
w/ a thick-n-heavy serving of
McAttitude
while dropping expletives for style points

just take a #
and join the line-up
as the rank-n-file
pause 1x1
take the stage
mic in hand
and submit y’r ½-tsp of semen
--w/ sterile latex gloves,
of course--
you can’t be too cautious
…these days
